Odyn
Phase 1
Can't damage Odyn during phase 1.
Deal with Hymdall & Hyrja first. Both need to reach 25% health at the same time or they will heal.
Valarjar's Bond - Tank them 35 yards away from each other.
Hymdall
- Horn of valor - Spread 5 yards (melee just be on other boss) * Does raid wide damage, and increased damage to anyone within 5 yards of others, or within 15 yards of the boss - Can use Healing cd for these,and have them up later when needed)
- Dancing Blade - Dodge them.
Hyrja (melee on this one)
- Expel Light - run out and be 8 yards away from others (Healers precast on these people)
- Shield of Light - Melee run into beam to help soak (Run to set location (middle of room)
Odyn
Draw Power - disable runes with 5 adds that spawn. Symbol above head will match rune. Drag add inside and kill him off. Only take damage while in rune. (If you don't disable runes it empowers him and he does mass aoe damage.) **If you have to move out, stun it in the rune - if it dies outside the rune will remain active.
Phase 2 (adds at 25% health and go away)
Runes still need to be handled.
Odyn's test - Tanks; stacking attack speeds. Taunt when other tank is getting rocked.
Spear of light - Move out of the orbs that come from them.
Shatter - Unavoidable damage to raid. Casts infrequently so when he does it will ruin raid. --- Shatter them yourself (by running into them) to manage damage taken. --- maybe they took this out? Maybe mythic?
***Heroic: Periodically, Hymdall and Hyrja leap into the arena - bring them downto 85% and they will exit. Still have Valarjar's Bond.
- Hyrja - If you are the Expel Light target, make sure to use personals, and healers really need to spot heal them, with other damage from Odyn's spears going out. Shield of Light - use raid wide damage reduction, SLT, Barrier, AM.
- Hymdall - Horn of valor - spears can take place at the same time, and healing output CD's are required. If you are within 5 yards of someone when this goes off you will likely both get 1 shot.
Phase 3 - 55% ---- HERO
No more rune or spears.
Cleansing Flame - Move out of it. Constantly changes. (every 30 sec or so)
Storm of Justice - Leave tornados up against the wall as far away from wall as possible.
Stormforged Spear - Tanks; run de-buff out 30+ yards. Use Cd's - ask for external. Use BoP for this.
Arcing Storm - Soft enrage over time.

After much chatter and many suggestions, here are a few take-away's we can bring to this next week;
Lets try to keep the boss in a steady location, as it shows in this video, (If you watch the replay from our best attempt there is a ton of movement and Odyn moves all over the place) and pre-map out exactly how far 35 yards away is to pull and tank the add for phase 2.
Also, lets not bother having our less mobile dps, or those that suffer from heavy target switching, bother to switch to Hyrja during phase 2.
We can consider having the person with the shield of light point it at Odyn during phase 2, so that melee sticking to the boss can help soak it as well. Keeping in mind that as orbs spawn the boss could be moved slightly off the general tanking position, so awareness and adaptability would be key.
